Big thanks to everybody who came out over the weekend to see my work during the River Arts Studio Tour, it was so great to talk with so many curious, enthusiastic, and encouraging people. Camie, Emmerson, and I were so pleased!
For those of you who weren't able to make it, the next opportunity to see some of my work on display will be at the Eleventh Street Art Gallery in Long Island City, as part of the exhibition In Situ: Up and Coming Artists from the Grand Central Atelier on May 16-June 30. This will be my graduating show at the Grand Central Atelier. I will have four framed pieces in the gallery, as well as work on display in the school as part of their open studio weekend May 18 and 19.
Those of you who were at the tour over the weekend got to hear Camie and I talk about our very exciting upcoming plans to start a drawing and painting school in Tarrytown! Main Street Atelier will offer portrait and figure classes, independent project classes, after school kid's classes, as well as workshops and collaborations with visiting artists. For more information check out our website mainstreetatelier.com, follow us on instagram @mainstreet.atelier, on facebook @mainstreet.atelier.ttown, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you haven't been added to the school's mailing list yet and would like to be please let me know. We will continue sending updates as we finalize our location, and we plan on starting classes this fall!
Thanks for all the support, I'm excited for the big plans ahead!
